Fremtenkt is in the process of establishing a Laboratory for Sustainable and Democratic Futures in Åsane kulturhus. 1

Through this work, we also create concepts for citizen engagement that can also be used elsewhere and in other contexts.
The laboratory has been developed in dialogue with Arna and Åsane cultural office, and is partly financed through Climate and environment grants from Bergen municipality and Vestland County municipality.

In dialogue with students and teachers at Fyllingsdalen VGS, Fremtenkt is developing an interdisciplinary teaching plan in line with the new high school curricula, which will be phased in gradually from the autumn of 2020.
This is the first time I am leaving a course and already looking forward to the next one.
In line with the new curricula, the Futures Workshop enables interdisciplinary teaching in sustainability, democracy and citizenship, and public health and life skills.

Fremtenkt is working with Memoar 2 and Last Chapter/Siste kapittel 3 to create a series of sustainability stories based on interview material collected by Memoar.
Here we connect stories about everyday life from recent Norwegian history to the UN Sustainable Development Goals to show how we have gotten to where we are today, and to provide inspiration for the work of creating the Norway of the future.
